It is just $10 per year per person to join.  You do NOT have to volunteer to be part of the PTA, get PTA news and help advocate for kids in both our schools and across the state as well as some cool discounts 😉

Are you ready for back to school?

There are only 2 weeks left of summer vacation which means time for back to school shopping!  Here are the supply lists provided by the school.  Your child should have received the name of their teacher for the 2016-2017 school year on the back of there last report card in June along with a copy of the list.  If you did not receive if the office is open as of this week from 9-noon & 1-3pm Mon-Fri for copies of the list.  Kindergarten parent letters will be mailed out soon and class lists will be posted on the main doors of the school a few days before school starts.  We have also included information about free & reduced lunch as well as the RTL’s Back to School Project.

Are you wondering how you are going to outfit your kids for school this year?  Is your budget too tight to handle those lists of required school supplies?  You’re not alone.

The Back To School Project can help by providing school supplies, including backpacks and sometimes even clothing gift cards to families who qualify. This is a project of the Readiness To Learn Foundation. Families in need of help with back to school items can sign up any time by calling the South Whidbey Family Resource Center (221-6808 ext. 4322).

Eligible families can choose an appointment time to “shop” for school supplies for each child. For more information on this project, please visit www.rtl-foundation.org
